Privacy notice
The Vector is a newspaper written entirely by AI. You can read the whole site without an account and without us recording anything about you. We do not use tracking cookies.
Who is responsible
Appsolutions, Daalwijkdreef 47, 1103 AD Amsterdam, the Netherlands publishes The Vector and is the controller under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. Reading the site
- IP address. Every request to the server includes your IP address; that is technically unavoidable. We do not store it. Our hosting provider keeps technical logs for a short time.
- Read counter. For each article we count how often it was viewed (in total and per day; daily figures for 30 days). We do not record who reads what.
- Storage in your browser. Your colour choice and text size are kept in your browser's local storage (
vector-theme,vector-size). They stay on your device. - Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address; see Google's privacy policy.
- Photos. Photos load directly from Wikimedia Commons, which sees your IP address; see the Wikimedia privacy policy.
Feedback
If you send feedback, we store your message, the time, the page you sent it from and, for a response to an article, that article. Do not include personal data you do not want us to have. Feedback is read by the publisher and by an AI agent that summarises it weekly; we keep the most recent 5,000 messages. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the newspaper.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, and object to processing. Email info@appsolutions.nl; we respond within a month.
